Naomi Campbell biography super model has been a prominent model since 1980, her name a hallmark of late 80’s and 90’s fashion.   Naomi Campbell’s career has spanned many genres of the entertainment industry including music, television and film.  Campbell owes her stunning good looks to her mixed Chinese and Jamaican heritage.  However, this is only her mother’s heritage as her father is still unknown to her.  

Naomi Campbell celebrity has worked with many modeling agencies including, IMG New York, IMG Paris, d-management Milan, Independent Talent London, and Munich Models.  But was it her modeling agency or her own personal empathy that led Naomi Campbell to participate in the Live Earth concerts?  In July 2007 Naomi Campbell was the MC for the Live Earth Concert in Johannesburg, South Africa.  This concert, partially organized by Al Gore, was an awareness-raising event around climate change issues.  Celebrities and musicians from around the world gathered to support this effort.  This event, though energy-intensive, was fully offset.  The organizers of the festival bought carbon credits for the energy used to produce it.  Whether the fact that Naomi Campbell was the main host of concert shows her dedication to the cause or only to the requests of her modeling agency is debatable.  However, further evidence of Campbell’s compassionate side appeared just this last September at the Fashion for Relief event in London.

Naomi Campbell’s Fashion for Relief event was a charity event benefiting the White Ribbon Alliance.  The White Ribbon Alliance is safe motherhood charity which saves the lives of pregnant women and newborns around the world.  This event featured some big names in the entertainment industries including Gorgeous Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole, Olympic heroes Rebecca Adlington and Sarah Ayton, Lizzie Jagger, Tracey Emin and Erin O’Connor and former Blind Date host, Cilla Black.  Naomi Campbell produced the event and raised thousands for the cause in the process.
